FORCardiff partners with No Boundaries to encourage Inclusivity and Anti-Racism with its members

No Boundaries supported FORCardiff by delivering sessions on anti-racism. FORCardiff is a private, non-profit membership organisation that represents businesses in Cardiff City Centre. The membership includes businesses from the profession, retail, leisure and educational sectors. They deliver ambitious plans to transform Cardiff.

The sessions were delivered in the Cardiff office of the Metro Bank, located on Queen Street. The sessions were half day and were attended by members from Monmouthshire Building Society, Cardiff and the Vale College, St. Davids Shopping Centre, Cardiff Youth Service and Careers Wales, to name a few.

These sessions provided the opportunity to explore racism with deep, reflective and honest conversations. We looked at the impact of racism on our communities and also explored what an inclusive workplace looks like. We also fostered an understanding of behaviour such as racial microaggressions and inappropriate language. Some of the other themes were explored included recruitment practices and understanding positive action, making adjustments in the workplace to promote inclusivity and representation.
